

Bad Weather Arrangements
The school will follow the procedure stated here in the event of bad weather.
Our school procedure during a typhoon or rainstorm is as follows.

If the black rainstorm warning is still in place at 10.30 am, the afternoon session will be cancelled. Rainstorm | Red Rainstorm Warning | AM and full day sessions and playgroup sessions will be cancelled if the warning is still in place at 6.00 am. If the red rainstorm warning is still in place at 10.30 am, the KG-Prep & KG 1-3 afternoon session will be cancelled. If the red rainstorm warning is still in place at 1:pm, the Playgroup afternoon sessions will be cancelled. If the warning is lowered to amber before 10.30 am, the school will reopen for the afternoon session. | |

Typhoon | No.3 Signal or above | AM and full day sessions for KG-Prep and KG 1-3 will be closed if the signal is still in place at 6:00 am. If T3 or above signal is still in place at 10:30 am, the afternoon session will be cancelled. If the signal is lowered to T1 before 10.30 am, the school will reopen for the afternoon session. Playgroup sessions will continue as normal for No.3 Signal and will be cancelled if No. 8 Signal or higher is hoisted, parents can decide for themselves whether to attend the session. | |
Typhoon | No.1 Signal | All sessions will continue as normal unless the Education Bureau or Social Welfare Department announces closure of all schools due to considerable risk to children. |
The school will be CLOSED FOR THE DAY when:

A Typhoon No. 3 or higher is hoisted before 6:00 am; or
-
A Red or Black rainstorm warning is hoisted before 6:00 am; or
-
When the Education Bureau or Social Welfare Department announces closure of all schools due to considerable risk to children from heavy rain or flooding.
Note: School will reopen for the afternoon if typhoon signal No.3, or the red rainstorm warning is lowered by 10:30am.
The school will CLOSE FOR AFTERNOON ONLY when:

A Typhoon No. 3 is hoisted during the morning session; or
-
A Red or Black rainstorm warning is hoisted during the morning session.
Note: Children who are enrolled in our Full Day Programme will remain in school until the end of the afternoon session. Parents/guardians will receive a message.
The school will remain open during a Typhoon No. 1 and Amber signal unless advised to close by the Education Bureau or Social Welfare Department. Stay tuned for live announcements broadcasted on local radio stations and on television.
Please note all outdoor activities will be postponed if the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) reaches 8.
